Restaurants

1063349-taras-kiev.jpgThis is a fine Ukrainian restaurant (formerly called Taras) located in Shevchenko Park in front of Shevchenko University in Volodymyr Street. It looks like a big Ukrainian hut and has a model mill inside and a straw roof like in old Ukrainian houses. The atmosphere is lively and cozy, the waitresses are dressed in national Ukrainian suites. There are lots of customers at any time of the day. You can have “business lunch” (around $5-7) at lunch time there and sit at the terrace listening to the orchestra playing there on weekends.dishes of the national Ukrainian cuisine: varenyky, pancakes, etc. You can have so called ‘complex lunch’ from 12 till 3 p.m. for 35 UAH.
